The film is dedicated to the "Siberian period" of the writer F.M. Dostoevsky. From 1849 to 1859 he was first in hard labor in the Omsk jail, then in exile in Semipalatinsk, served as a soldier in the Siberian Line Regiment. In 1857, his wedding with his first wife took place in the Novokuznetsk Church. It was after Siberia, after physical and spiritual trials, that Dostoevsky wrote his most famous novels, the so-called "Pentateuch". The narration comes from the perspective of his daughter Lyuba, known for her odious character and harshness of statements.
