In October 2020, a monument to Savely Vasilyevich Yamshchikov was unveiled in Pskov. He was a restorer, artist, art critic and public figure, who was rightly called by his contemporaries "Restorer of All Russia". The opening brought together friends and associates of Savva Vasilyevich, among whom was his closest friend Valentin Yakovlevich Kurbatov, a writer, publicist and literary critic. It was Kurbatov who became the narrator of the story, recalling the role of Yamshchikov in the preservation of the country's cultural heritage and, in particular, the museum complex in the Pushkin Hills and architectural monuments in the city of Pskov.
